Born out of a basement bar idea over a few glasses of bourbon that turned into a new business venture.   Peanut’s Pub is a covid built, basement bourbon bar with rare bourbons, draft beer and a golf simulator.  It's a fun place to hang out with friends and practice your golf swing and after a few bourbon’s it was decided that Peanut’s Pub should be opened up to the public.  All we needed was a non-basement location.   

The property that Tap-In’s sits on has a rich history in the Howell area.    

In 1987 a driving range, miniature putt putt and 4,000 SQ Foot building, to be used as a pro shop, were built at this location and operated by local business owners.  One of those successful businesses was Tom Deaton’s Golf Center.  Over the course of his career as a Golf Professional, Tom worked for many prestigious Country Clubs and ended up at Franklin Hills Country Club as their Head Golf Professional for twenty-one years. Tom was a lifetime member of the Michigan PGA for over 50 years and winner of many PGA Tournaments.

After retiring from Franklin C.C., Tom started his second career and opened his own business, Tom Deaton's Golf Center.  He ran a very successful business for many years, sadly passing away unexpectedly in 2015.  The business changed hands until early 2019 and from then until late 2021 the property sat vacant.  In early 2022, Tap-In’s was thrilled to step in and offer the community a bit of the old fun along with some new technology and life for the future.

Really cool place. Huge bourbon selection. Super friendly staff. They have a limited selection of Gin and we asked about The Botanist (our favorite) and they didn't have it... went back a couple weeks later and they have it now. How cool? Good drinks, good vibes.

Amazing atmosphere. Best prices in Livingston county with over 100 bourbon choices. Place is newly remodeled and looks amazing. They couldn’t have done a better job with the bar. The simulators are spot on and fun for all ages and skill level. They also have great food!! We couldn’t be more pleased with the service and hospitality. They also offer lessons and have leagues! Can’t wait for the putt putt course and driving range to be open in the summer. Nothing beats putt putt and beer!

This place is an absolute blast!!! Went twice in the same weekend. We went here with a group of about 12 for drinks for my wife’s bday and ended up staying for a few hours. Had so much fun that we ended up playing golf on the simulators, which are LEGIT Trakman monitors. Jobe was great and way more than helpful setting up the golf. Definitely made us feel like we were family!!Went back the next day for bloody Mary’s and brought the kids. They played putt putt on the simulators and the guys were more than helpful setting that up for the kids too!My buddy got the brisket tacos and he said they were “insanely good”This will easily be the new hot spot in Howell!
